Twenty!

How Far Along: Halfway there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Size of Peanut: Banana - I eat one almost every day, so this is appropriate this week!

Total Weight Gain: Still unclear, still don't care!  As far as how my body looks and feels right now, I am about as happy as I could possibly be about where I'm at.

Maternity Clothes: Okay so I guess the shopaholic problems never really go away even when you're pregnant.  With both pregnancies, I seemed to reach a point where I think I'm done and then suddenly I realize that I *need* something else.  I had been noticing for a few weeks months that my regular boots were getting kinda tight on my man calves (thanks, Milt).  I ignored it and decided that I would just shove my calves into them all winter anyway.  Well, last week my work went to the Thursday night Bengals game.  I had my whole outfit picked out, complete with LAP (leggings as pants, thank you Jen Hatmaker) and went to put on my boots when the worst possible thing happened: my boots did not zip.  Like, they wouldn't even go on and feel like my legs were splurging out the top.  They straight up did. not. fit.  So on the way to the Bengals game, wearing my Uggs in 70 degree weather (ain't nobody got time to be changing their outfit at the last minute because their boots don't fit), I got on 6pm.com and impulse purchased the $32 wide calf boots I put in my cart about 6 weeks ago.  They arrived this week and I can't begin to tell you all how happy I am that I made this purchase.  The fact that I even thought I could a) fit in my regular boots until March and/or b) go all winter without boots is 150% laughable.  So here I am in my wide calf, cheap as hell, yet incredibly comfortable boot glory.  I'm not even sorry about it.

I also may have been suckered by Gap's friends and family event and purchased 2 sweaters and some maternity jeggings, but that's neither here nor there.  Bye.

Exercise: I'm continuing to feel like a cow/whale/other large creature when I exercise, but I'm still plugging along.  The mirrors in exercise rooms really are a pregnant girl's worst nightmare.  I guess they have to be there for all the people who still look relatively decent in their workout attire, but seeing my pregnant body in a mirror is one of my least favorite parts of every day.  I only worked out twice last week, but when you consider moving boxes and house items from one floor to another to a car to another house, I think I will count that as like 4.5 times - wink wink.

Sleep: The new mattress has been purchased.  We decided to go with the Leesa.  I am slightly nervous about this mattress sucking after a year like the one we currently have does, but I have yet to read a bad review about it and I did some pretty extensive research.  This will be our first "bed in a box" so I will report back with how it works out for us.  In the meantime if you want to buy one, use my code so you can get $75 and I can get $50: http://refer.leesa.com/cTc2l

I still haven't really been sleeping, but at least I haven't been up for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night with 4,000 thoughts going through my mind this past week.  Sam has also continued to come into our room pretty much every night, but she typically goes right back to sleep if we throw her pillow and some blankets on the floor next to our bed.  She is loving our mattress being on the floor right now (we sold our adjustable bed frame last week), it feels like a camp out and she basically thinks she's snuggling with us all night.  The good news is even though she's right there, I don't feel her thrashing.  Win-win.

Best Moment(s) this week: Tuesday was one of those days that my chips just really fell into place for the first half of the day.  Sometimes when you get a few small victories, it makes your day feel really great.  We started the morning with Sam being in a great mood.  I went to Starbucks to get myself a nice holiday treat (I'm not even going to go into my annoyance about the whole "red cup" situation since I saw Christmas Blend coffee and Advent Calendars at Starbucks) and there was nobody in line when I got there at 8:15.  By the time I was walking out with my cup, there were about 30 people in line.  As I was online shopping for our mattress and a new comforter insert, I found Macy's was having a mega Veterans' Day sale.  I got some new dishes I have been eyeing as well as a comforter insert for a super great deal.  My "Macy's savings" were like $343 after all was said and done.  Score!  Then I went to the gym for my lunchtime spin class.  As I walked into the gym, I saw the only 3 super hot attractive men that work at Great American within the first 30 seconds of walking in (sorry Jake).  Day = made.  That kind of luck just doesn't happen on a regular day!  Tuesday morning was my favorite moment this week!

Gender: Gender reveal Friday!  Woot!  We are so excited to find out!

Movement: I am relatively worried that this little babe is another breech babe.  I am pretty sure those are leg kicks straight to my bladder throughout the day, and not arm punches.  I could be wrong, and there is a lot of time left for him/her to flip, but for now I am predicting that's what I'm dealing with.  I think Jake may have gotten a tiny little blip of a movement on the outside of my belly the other night, but I can't be sure.

Food Cravings: I think this whole time I have been in denial that all I want is carbs.  Carbs carbs and more carbs.  White bread?  Yes please.  Cookies?  Yes please.  Fruit?  Yes please.  Chips?  Yes please.  Pizza?  Yes please.  Pasta?  Yes please.  Ice cream?  Yes please.  I am hopeless.

Symptoms:  My headaches have been relatively non-existent this week and my sciatic nerve pain seemed to have calmed down too.  For once I have no real complaints (is this the second week that's happened this time around?).  Write it down again.

What I Miss: So I actually really really miss running. The weather has been so nice here lately and I keep seeing all of these people out getting their jog on. I will be so excited to lace up my sneaks come June-ish next year. But for now, these boobies are too big and too dangerous to be bouncing around while I hit the pavement. To all my runner friends out there: enjoy yo-self in this fabulous fall weather!

What I am Looking Forward to: Finding out the gender of this babe, duh!  I also may or may not be just as excited about Justin Bieber's new album release on Friday, but I won't go into my teeny-bopper tendencies anymore than I have to

Callie update:
-I have bad news to report on our poor little pup.  We took her to the vet last Friday so the vet could check out the mass that's been getting pretty big under the skin on her chest.  The vet did a quick test on it and determined that it's probably lymphoma.  The prognosis for lymphoma with no treatment is pretty abysmal (we're talking less than a month).  The treatment for lymphoma involves more prednisone, which  we refuse to do to Callie again.  So we're looking at a really short time left with our little baby dog.  We spent last weekend really sad about it and in discussions about when we should put her down, but all week she's been doing seemingly pretty well.  We've decided to just evaluate her every week and see how she's doing.  We don't want to rush into a decision just because the timing is miserable with a trip to NYC and a move on the horizon.  Please keep her in your prayers if you have any to spare.

Sam Tidbits:
-While watching Bieber week on Ellen this week (yes, that is a thing, and yes, I watched it with Sam), Ellen showed some flashbacks of Justin on her show.  Of course up until he was like 18 or so, he had no tattoos.  Then all of a sudden he had full sleeves and tattoos on his neck.  Sam is like "mommy what does he have on his arms" so I'm like "those are tattoos".  Luckily the questioning about tattoos stopped there.  Not that I have any problems with tattoos, but trying to explain that to a 2 year old sounds no bueno to me.  THEN, Ellen put up the pixelated photos of Bieber's little nude trip to Bora Bora and the first thing that come out of Sam's mouth is "Mommy why is he wearing his underwear?"   Mmmmmkayyyyy so I recovered from that one by telling her he was wearing his bathing suit since he was at the beach.  She asked about it approximately 13 more times and I continued to tell her it was his bathing suit, yet I still didn't turn the show off.  At this point I feel the need to apologize to all the other moms out there because I am clearly the best parent on the planet. so the rest of you will never measure up.  HAHAHAHAHA!

Happy Thursday y'all!
